Saltbush

Common Names: Saltbush, groundsel tree, bush groundsel, sea myrtle
Latin Names: Baccharis halimifolia
Type: Shrub
Origin: Native

Edible: No. Seeds are poisonous.

Notes: Blooms in falls. Attracts bees and monarch butterflies. Some people are allergic to the pollen. These have male and female plants. The seeds fly everywhere like milkweed or cottonwood.

Located on the edge of the pond and along the woods in back. Lots of species of this bush and not sure of the specific type.
