Dollarweed

Common Names: Dollarweed, manyflower marshpennywort, pennywort
Latin Names: Hydrocotyle umbellata
Type: Herbaceous
Origin: Native

Edible: Leaves in salads or as potherb. Leaves in the spring and early summer are said to be better tasting. Said that the leaves can make a drink (just soak raw leaves in water). Use the leaves for a tea. Blossoms are also said to be edible.
---> Not a lot of flavor in the leaves but definitely edible. Have not tried in a salad or to cook it but have eaten several leaves.

Note: Grows in soil and in water (our pond).
